I've never been one to get overly excited about the holidays--especially since pushing Christmas merch in August and September is a huge turnoff for me and makes me want to boycott the entire season. However, I have an 11 year old daughter to think of and must do my part to make pleasant memories for her. (Shhhh...I can't let my internal Grinch out!) My solution is to find a way to mix elements of the season into a simple and elegant arrangement. Carving tiny pumpkins with tea lights and my favorite Jonathan Adler pottery makes my tiny living quarters look inviting.
